PowerMaster PRO

The PowerMaster Pro Application Suite is a collection of PC software applications for use with the PowerMaster Series of watt meter. The PowerMaster Pro Application Suite consists of PowerMaster Pro Server, PowerMaster Pro Network Client, PowerMaster Pro Histogram / Time Plot graphing utility, PowerMaster Pro VSWR graphing utility, a multi-coupler configuration wizard, and a dB stage gain calculation utility.

PowerMaster Pro Server is the core of the PowerMaster Pro Application Suite. It is designed to function as a stand alone monitor and control panel for the PowerMaster watt meter. PowerMaster Pro server includes support for TCP network communications. PowerMaster Pro Server also functions as a data provider for the PowerMaster Pro Histogram and Time Plotting utility.

The PowerMaster Pro Server setup additionally includes the PowerMaster Pro dB Gain utility and the coupler configuration wizard for multi-coupler firmware.

With the PowerMaster Pro Graphing utility capturing data monitored from a PowerMaster watt meter has never been easier. Select an interval, select the number of samples and start collecting data readings.

Once a data set has been captured it may be displayed in either a Histogram graph or a Time Plot graph. Select from forward power, reflected power, VSWR, dBm, or return loss. PowerMaster Pro Graphing is designed to scale the chart according to the bargraph range selected when the data was captured.

To see data in more detail in Histogram view just click on a bar and PowerMaster Pro will zoom in to present more detail. Move the mouse pointer over the graph to view details about each histogram data group.

Select time plot view to see a chronological graph. The time plot graph may be zoomed in on to see the data in more detail. Time Plot statistics will calculate and display the standard deviation, average deviation, median and RMS of the captured data set.

At any time a graph may be saved as an image file or printed up for hard copy. The captured data set may be exported or archived for future analysis.

The PowerMaster Pro histogram and time plotting application requires the MS Visual Basic 6.0 runtime which is bundled in the setup.

The PowerMaster Pro VSWR plotter graphing utility for antenna system VSWR data capture and analysis.

With the PowerMaster Pro VSWR plotter graphing utility it is possible to capture VSWR readings for a range of frequencies spanning a amateur radio band, a portion of a band, or a manually entered span of frequencies. Set the frequency step and PowerMaster Pro VSWR graphing will record VSWR readings then present them in a graph.

The graph may be saved as an image file, printed and the captured data set may be exported, and/or archived for future reference, comparison, and analysis. The PowerMaster Pro VSWR graphing utility is a stand alone application that currently interfaces with Ham Radio Deluxe or TRX-Manager for transceiver control and provides native CAT support for certain Icom, Kenwood, and Elecraft transceivers.

Note: If your system does not have TRX-Manager installed and you are unsure whether or not the MS VB5.0 runtime libraries are installed on your system then please download and install the MS Visual Basic 5.0 runtime libraries before installing PowerMaster Pro VSWR Plotter. An OLE linking component of TRX-Manager that is included with the PowerMaster Pro VSWR Plotter installation requires the VB 5.0 runtime libraries.

Note: It is necessary to have a PowerMaster meter and have it powered on and connected to the PC for this utility to function.

The PowerMaster Pro Data Export Viewer allows for viewing data exported from the PowerMaster Pro graphing utilities..

The PowerMaster Pro Data Export Viewer is being designed to load up several exported data sets for viewing comparisons between data sets. The PowerMaster Pro Data Export Viewer loads and displays exported data into a spreadsheet style grid layout. This application is currently under development. Check back for updates.

The PowerMaster Pro multi-coupler configuration wizard allows for simple configuration of the multiple coupler positions this new firmware design has made possible.

The new release of the PowerMaster multi-coupler firmware allows for a new dimension of watt meter system expansion. It synch with this new development is the PowerMaster Pro multi-coupler configuration wizard. This wizard makes it possible to view and configure the coupler parameters in one simple to use interface. Parameters for up to eight coupler positions may be displayed and configured with a few clicks of a mouse. Once the meter parameters are configured a meter configuration report may be printed for future reference.

This application is bundled into the PowerMaster Pro Server setup.
